LG Chem sets out to capture global customers with eco-friendly, high-value strategic products.
From the 23rd, LG Chem will participate in Chinaplas 2024 in Shanghai, China, a four-day event where they will showcase eco-friendly materials such as biodegradable, recycled, and compostable plastics, as well as high-value strategic products in the automotive and consumer sectors.
Chinaplas 2024 is the largest plastic exhibition in Asia, providing over 380,000 square meters of exhibition space, with more than 4,000 companies from around the world expected to participate.
At the exhibition, LG Chem will operate the largest booth among domestic companies, covering 400 square meters (about 121 pyeong), where the company will display over 60 different products and facilitate communication with clients through nine dedicated meeting rooms and a business lounge.
LG Chem will showcase eco-friendly and high-value strategic products under the theme of “The Sustainable and Innovative Solutions.” Notably, eco-friendly products constitute over 40% of the total products displayed.
In the LETZero Zone, materials that naturally decompose within six months when buried, such as Compostful™ (PBAT: Poly Butylene Adipate-co-Terephthalate), plastics made from bio-based materials (PLA: Poly Lactic Acid), plastics from pyrolysis oil recycled back to crude oil state, and mechanically recycled products (PCR: Post Consumer Recycled), are exhibited.
The Mobility Zone features products with the world’s highest quality based on proprietary technology, including battery materials such as Carbon Nanotubes (CNT), engineering plastics applied in EV batteries and chargers, automotive interior and exterior materials, and high-heat/high-voltage resistant PVC cables.
Additionally, the Living Zone accelerates LG Chem’s global market reach by displaying products such as CO2 plastics (PEC: Poly Ethylene Carbonate) made from captured carbon dioxide, environmentally-friendly fermentation process-derived 3HP (3-Hydroxypropionic acid), and medical glove materials (NBL: Nitrile Butadiene Latex).
Kug Lae Noh, President of the Petrochemicals Company at LG Chem, stated, “With LG Chem’s continuously innovating eco-friendly and high-value strategic products, we will capture the hearts of global customers.”
