Mercedes-Benz’s next-generation in-vehicle infotainment system, the Mercedes-Benz User Experience (MBUX) Hyperscreen featuring LG Display’s P-OLED technology, has been recognized for its innovativeness. The curved display which spans from the driver’s seat to the passenger’s seat completes an outstanding interior design while offering the most intuitive driving experience.
During the meeting, LG Display showcased its wide range of technologies for next-generation automotive displays and high-end LCDs, including its 34-inch ultra-large P-OLED and 18-inch Slidable automotive OLED displays, Transparent OLED, 12.3-inch Glasses-free 3D Cluster, and SPM (Switchable Privacy Mode).
Meanwhile, LG Display is strengthening its automotive display business’s leading market position based on the differentiated technological competitiveness it has forged through its cutting-edge Tandem OLED and high-end LCDs.
Tandem OLED embodies LG Display’s groundbreaking two-stack OLED technology, which adds an extra emitting layer to deliver brighter screens while effectively dispersing energy across OLED components for optimal stability and longer lifespans. LG Display will start mass producing its second-generation Tandem OLED, which heightens the efficiency of organic light-emitting components, this year to further widen the technology gap between itself and its competitors.
