LG Chem Chief Executive Officer Hak Cheol Shin will begin actively recruiting outstanding R&D personnel that will become leaders of ESG innovation technologies.
At the Intercontinental COEX in Gangnam-gu, Seoul on the 1st, LG Chem announced that it hosted the ‘LG Chem Tech Conference’ by inviting 45 R&D personnel in their master’s and doctoral degree programs at domestic universities and research centers.
The LG Chem Tech Conference is a hiring event in which key managers explain the status of the innovative technologies and visions of LG Chem directly to excellent R&D talents.
This conference was joined by R&D personnel in master’s and doctoral degree programs that will become leaders of the ESG and new business fields such as eco-friendly materials, battery materials, and innovative new drugs.
Chief Executive Officer Hak Cheol Shin, who directly oversaw this event, said, “The climate crisis caused by global warming is threatening the survival of not only businesses, but all of humanity,” and added, “In order to overcome these crises, innovative technologies are essential, and R&D experts in the ESG technology sector like yourselves will be at the center of this.”
In particular, he commented, “A huge blue ocean market will open up to companies that create completely new eco-friendly technologies and business models,” and urged those in attendance to “Join LG Chem that will set sail to a vast ocean of opportunities in ESG.”
It was followed by explanations on the technologies and new growth engines that will open new horizons to the future such as LG Chem’s eco-friendly materials like biodegradable plastic, core battery materials, and innovative new drugs.
At this event, executives in charge of R&D from each company explained the R&D status and pursuance strategies of LG Chem, while Chief Executive Officer Hak Cheol Shin, CTO Yu Jiyung, and CHO Sungmin Kim participated in a Q&A session to actively communicate with the R&D personnel.
Meanwhile, Chief Executive Officer Hak Cheol Shin will also resume BC (Business & Campus) tour, which is a hiring event to procure global human resources after two years. Key directors such as Chief Executive Office Hak Cheol Shin plans to visit New Jersey, USA in September of this year to focus on procuring talented human resources.
