April 23, 2020 – In 1Q 2020, LG Household & Health Care, Ltd. (CEO: Suk Cha) delivered record high first quarter results despite COVID-19 impact on market. The Company reported 1.9tr won in sales (+1.2% yoy), 334bn won in operating profit (+3.6% yoy) and 234bn won in net profit (+3.7% yoy).
Sales has increased for fifty-eight quarters since 3Q 2005, and operating profit has increased for sixty quarters since 1Q 2005.
Beauty minimized the impact of COVID-19 on sales and profits thanks to solid demand for luxury brands. Even in a difficult business environment HPC achieved positive sales and operating profit growth by responding quickly to market demand. Refreshment also achieved solid results through steady growth of major brands.
